I'm not bragging, but I'm a very intelligent person.  I've known
since I was about 6 that these things were bad, and could ruin a person's
life.  And every time I got that first drink in hand, or sparked the first
joint of the day, or whatever my current passion was, I'd tell myself what I
was about to do was bad, stupid, wrong, etc.  But it NEVER stopped me,
because I could always rationalize, or delude myself into thinking "TOMORROW
I won't do this".  That's what makes it such a deadly disease; it completely
warps your thinking, no matter if you're the village idiot or Albert
Einstein.

You're right Keith, I mean just look at how many of our greatest minds have been alcoholics or drug addicts.
